ADVENT/CHRISTMAS/EPIPHANY
2022-2023 ADVENT/CHRISTMAS/EPIPHANY CELEBRATIONS
The Liturgy Committee of St. Emydius parish has
chosen as access code to the Church's celebration of Advent, Christmas, and
Epiphany the following theme: "READY THE WAY WITH GOD'S GRACE: LISTEN, ACT, EVOLVE."
Jesus of Nazareth's evolution into the Christ is the blueprint for all people and all creation. Jesus becomes the Christ, Examplar for all people and creation by living and exposing the pattern of growth God has inserted into existence since the Big Bang. Jesus, then lived our life, died our death, and experienced our resurrection.
Thus, the pattern of his life echoes through the Holy Spirit's presence in everyone and everything. So, we and all creation, by living our life, dying our death, and experiencing resurrection over and over are being transformed into His likeness.
The Scriptures of the Seasons present Jesus as the evolving blueprint and invite and empower us to listen to what is going on, assimilate and react to it, and so grow and evolve.
